History

Virbiage is a technology business working in the realm of VoIP telephony. Established in 2002, the company has spent the last 12 months researching the future possibilities of VoIP technology and the growing Internet telephony markets.

The VoIP industry is all about telephony, about making it easier and cheaper for people to call each other, whether across the road, across the country or across the world.

To the end user a VoIP phone is identical to a traditional phone in that you can pick up the phone, dial a number and talk to the person at the other end. And that's where the magic lies; VoIP services need to behave identically to the traditional telephone. All of our products, both hardware and software, have been designed with this ease of use in mind.

Our Softphone was released in late 2003 and it's user base has grown from a few hundred into the hundreds of thousands within a short while. We followed up this great success with the release of our USB IP phone in 2004 and the new 3010 ATA which has just been released at CeBIT Australia 2005.

The majority of our previous VoIP systems have all been "under the line" developments. In these cases we have provided design assistance and complete product concepts to other companies, primarily in Australia and Asia. Our designs have been widely used under many different names and brands.
